A Legacy of Tradition and Family

For over four generations, Danesi has been synonymous with the quality and culture of Italian Espresso worldwide. The story began in 1905, when a young Alfredo Danesi, at just 25 years old, opened a coffee emporium with his friend Nencini in the heart of Rome on Via Tomacelli. With a background in the spice and coffee trade, Alfredo was a master of secret blends and began spreading the Italian espresso culture throughout the capital and beyond.

After Alfredo's passing in 1933, his son Giovanni, also known as Nino, continued the family tradition. As a dedicated taster and promoter of Espresso, Giovanni expanded the company's reach, establishing a sales network for Danesi products in public establishments (Ho.Re.Ca.). Under his guidance, Danesi opened its first roasting plant in Circonvallazione Clodia, later moving to the Magliana area in the 1960s.

In the early 1970s, Giovanni's sons, Roberto and Alfredo, joined the company, bringing a modern and industrial approach to its management. They spearheaded the brand's expansion, successfully exporting Danesi coffee to over 60 countries around the globe.
